Save the date for Fall Conference 2014, to be held at Copper Mountain, Colorado October 23-26, 2014.
In our never-ending quest to continually add more value to the certification and credentialing process that contributes to high quality skiing and riding lessons throughout the country, PSIA-AASI annually hosts Fall Conference at Copper Mountain, Colorado. The focus of the conference is on national certification standards across the eight national standard disciplines.
This event was founded on the best findings from the Examiner’s Colleges. It brings representatives from each of the nine divisions together to focus on training in each of the national standards, including:
- Adaptive Alpine
- Adaptive Snowboard
- Cross Country
- Children's Specialist
In 2013, PSIA-AASI invited all U.S. ski and ride school directors to attend Fall Conference for the first time ever. Ski school directors were able to spend face-to-face time in conference, on the snow, and après with school directors and industry leaders from across the nation.
The 2013 Fall Conference was a big success; read more about the event. We are proud to have once again brought a great group together in the collective goal of consistency and collaboration.
National Adaptive Academy
Adaptive instructors unite: this is an academy just for you! The 26th annual Hartford Ski Spectacular took place December 2-8, 2013, in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado. This event, hosted by Disabled Sports USA and held in conjunction with PSIA-AASI’s National Adaptive Academy, is the nation’s premier adaptive winter sports festival. PSIA-AASI is proud to offer continuing education units to adaptive instructors and volunteers through clinics with our PSIA-AASI Teams, and other adaptive educators from our divisions.
When adaptive instructors, athletes, and program staff gather, the stage is set for life-changing learning.
Taking place every four years, PSIA-AASI is looking ahead to Interski 2015 in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Interski provides unique international opportunities for ski and snowboard instructors from around the world to network, learn, and share the global passion for education and snowsports.
