Fall Conference
Looking to strengthen even further the certifications and credentials that help make for consistently high-quality ski and snowboard lessons throughout the country, PSIA-AASI hosted a Fall Conference to focus on its national certification standards across all eight national standard disciplines. The conference took place October 25–28, 2012, at Copper Mountain, Colorado.
This event was built from the best of the Examiner’s Colleges, and brought together representatives from each of the nine divisions to focus on training toward each of the national standards, including Adaptive Skiing, Adaptive Snowboard, Alpine, Cross Country, Telemark, Snowboarding, Children’s Specialist, and Freestyle. We are excited and proud at the opportunity this event provided to bring all of us closer together for consistency and collaboration.
National Adaptive Academy
Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) hosted its 25th annual Hartford Ski Spectacular December 2-9, 2012, in Breckenridge, Colorado. PSIA-AASI was proud to once again offer continuing education units to adaptive instructors and volunteers through the continuing education clinics with our Adaptive Team and Alpine Team, and other adaptive educators from our divisions.
