It’s been nearly two years since PSIA celebrated its 50th anniversary at Snowmass, Colorado, and exactly two years since Interski 2011 took place in St. Anton, Austria. These events brought together ski and snowboard professionals and enthusiasts alike, as old friends reconnected and new friends were made, and instructors from around the world celebrated their common passion for snowsports.
You can relive all of these events and the past 50 years of ski and snowboard instruction within the pages of American Snow: The Snowsports Instruction Revolution. In the pages of this book, award-winning author and editor Peter Kray captures the evolution of U.S. ski and snowboard instruction by telling the stories of the visionaries who created PSIA and AASI, as well as the many remarkable individuals who continue to define the future of this association.
For those of you who are able to make it to the annual SnowSports Industries America (SIA) Snow Show, being held in Denver Colorado, January 31–February 3, we have a special treat as Peter will be available at different times throughout the show to autograph copies of American Snow. If you don’t catch him at our booth, we will also have autographed copies on hand for sale. Spend a few minutes with Peter on the now-infamous red sofas of the PSIA-AASI booth to discuss old times and old timers, or get his take on new trends, gear, and hot topics in the industry!
If you can’t make it to the show but still want to have your copy of American Snow, I have the hookup! Just place your order for the book from the PSIA-AASI Accessories Catalog and then shoot me an e-mail using the link at the bottom of this page, or at firstname.lastname@example.org. Tell me your name, member number, and invoice number if possible. Then let me know how you would like the autograph to read, and who it should be personalized to. Just give me a couple of extra weeks for delivery and I will get it out to you!
