Publications, Videos & Resources

PSIA-AASI aims to help members, instructors, and volunteers create the best experiences they can for the guests who come to slide on snow. We produce many different kinds of resources, including technical manuals, videos, and a professional journal.

In addition, we also work to provide educational material for the general public, whether you are already a passionate skier or snowboarder or just want to know more about those sports. See the links below to find more information about our different resources.

Tips From The Pros

There’s no substitute for a lesson from a pro. Whether it’s your first time on snow or you’ve been skiing or riding your whole life, everyone can get better with a little help. But until the next time you’re on snow, we’ve got some great tips so you can start thinking about things you can do to make the most of your skiing or riding experience.

The Movement Matrix

Skiing and snowboarding are visual—the movements, the action, plus the smiles. With more than 300 videos with voiceover, The Movement Matrix is a unique online resource that captures visual examples of skillful skiing and riding—covering alpine, cross country, snowboard, adaptive, and telemark disciplines. And, as an expanding resource, new videos are added on an ongoing basis.

And best of all, through the generosity of an anonymous grant to the PSIA-AASI Education Foundation, all members now have FREE access to the Movement Matrix. See it, learn it, teach it!

32 Degrees: The Journal of Professional Snowsports Instruction

32 Degrees is PSIA-AASI's award-winning professional journal. Published three times per year (in the fall, winter, and spring), it's packed with engaging information on a wide range of topics relating to instruction in various disciplines—adaptive, alpine, cross country, telemark, and snowboarding.

Go With A Pro

Go With A Pro television is produced by PSIA-AASI to spread the word about skiing and snowboarding—and the value of taking lessons from an instructor. Featuring interesting and meaningful stories about the people, locations, and history that get people excited about skiing and riding, GWAP television offers a look inside this amazing industry.

Resources

Having the right tools is the mark of someone truly serious about what they do. PSIA-AASI offers many types of education materials including manuals, handbooks, job aids, and video resources. You sure to find something that's just right for you.
