Describe a teaching or learning experience that sticks out in your mind.
After my injury, I had to learn to ski again, only this time sitting down. I thought I would be able to pick up and ski right where I left off. Needless to say, my first lesson in my mind was an epic failure. From that moment on, I realized the importance of instruction and learning the basics from the ground up. I take those lessons and frustrations that I experienced into every lesson that I teach and it grounds me.

Describe a teaching or learning experience that sticks out in your mind.
I had the privilege to teach an 8-year-old boy how to ski with quad amputations. He suffered from a bacterial infection at 1-year-old, and lost both arms at the elbows, and both legs just above the knees. It didn't matter to him, whether he skied or snowboarded, he just wanted to experience the snow. With a lot of adaptation to equipment, he was able to parallel ski within 2 hours on snowblades, on his residual limbs. Absolutely, the most impressive boy I have ever met.

Specialties
I have the pleasure to bounce from coaching, teaching, and training with all kinds of guests -- students, instructors, trainers, and managers. Sometimes, that is all within a single day. It doesn't matter to me what ability level someone is, or where they are at within the industry. My focus, or specialty, is realizing potential in people, motivating them to see it, and helping them to develop.

Certifications
