Top of the Course Award

2017-04-17 PSIA-AASI National Academy - Opening-012

This award is presented to members pursuing Level III certification. It recognizes individuals who score at the highest percentile in skiing/snowboarding, teaching and technical knowledge; and who empower other candidates during the exam process. Candidates must display exceptional compassion and understanding for the needs of others, which results in a more positive examination environment.

Who is eligible? Members who are being examined for Level III certification
Who can nominate? Division Education staff in good standing (all continuing education requirements have been met and dues have been paid)

Three C’s Award – Collaboration, Communication, Cooperation 

This award recognizes members who demonstrate positive leadership within their ski and ride school. Some examples include building team spirit, encouraging customers to become instructors themselves, or other efforts that contribute meaningfully to the wellbeing of a school. 

Who is eligible? Members who work at a ski and ride school
Who can nominate a candidate?
Ski and ride school directors and managers, and peers

Rising Star Award

2017-04-17 PSIA-AASI National Academy - Opening-016

This award recognizes young standout PSIA-AASI members who have demonstrated positive leadership within the snowsports industry. This award is for members who show extraordinary promise charting a career path within the snowsport industry, members who are volunteer leaders, or who are otherwise distinguishing themselves in an exemplary fashion.

Who is eligible? Standout young leaders in the snowsports industry (must be a PSIA-AASI member)
Who can nominate? Ski and ride school directors/managers, and peers in good standing (all continuing education requirements have been met and dues have been paid)

Distinguished Service Award

This award recognizes individuals who make important contributions to PSIA-AASI through a group or team effort involving an important national level project or activity.

Who is eligible? Members, and non-members, including PSIA-AASI staff, vendors and industry partners
Who can nominate a candidate? PSIA-AASI Board of Directors, Committees, Divisional Boards, or PSIA-AASI members in good standing (all continuing education requirements have been met and dues have been paid)

Educational Excellence Award

This award recognizes those exceptional few members who authored PSIA-AASI educational materials over the years. They have added significantly to, and possibly even changed, the educational direction of PSIA-AASI. They have exhibited dedication, devotion and self-sacrifice contributing to the PSIA-AASI educational system, with ten years or more sustained outstanding service.

Who is eligible? Members significantly contribute to the creation of PSIA-AASI education materials (with 10 years or more of service)
Who can nominate? PSIA-AASI Board of Directors, Committees, Divisional Boards, or PSIA-AASI members in good standing (all continuing education requirements have been met and dues have been paid)

Lifetime Achievement Award

This award recognizes exceptional members who have designed and implemented programs, projects and procedures affecting the association on a national level. They have exhibited dedication, devotion, and self-sacrifice serving in national-level leadership positions.

Who is eligible? Members with 10 years or more sustained outstanding service
Who can nominate? PSIA-AASI Board of Directors, Committees, Divisional Boards, or PSIA-AASI members in good standing (all continuing education requirements have been met and dues have been paid)
