How to Join

Determine which ski area you would like to be employed by as an instructor. PSIA-AASI divisions can help you determine which snowsports schools in your geographic area are PSIA-AASI member schools.

You should go through the area’s hiring clinic and be employed as a teacher before you seek PSIA-AASI membership.

Contact the appropriate PSIA-AASI division office to receive a member information packet.

Once you have filled out the appropriate paperwork, received training from your area, and paid your dues, you are considered to be a registered member of PSIA-AASI.

If you choose, you may participate in training programs offered by your area and division to achieve a Level I certification. Through these programs, you will learn snowsport teaching fundamentals to prepare you for the Level I certification exam.
