Hey all, goin for a big upgrade to my gear for the upcoming season and lookin for some all mountain bindings to go with a rossignol 1mag board, and salomon boots.

As far as the boots go, from what I read I am between the F22s and the Malamutes. Just waiting to actually try them on first before I commit.

I live in Montana and here’s my style of riding:

I ride bumps/moguls a lot, some powder runs, and either tuckin down groomers or going down a groomer with a lot of quick edge to edge carving. I do a little freestyle/park but really prefer a binding that will be more tailored towards all mountain.

I don’t want any bindings to be excluded from being mentioned because of these considerations below, just would to know why a certain binding would not be good because of these factors.

1. An entry/release system that is very quick while also being durable enough to withstand a lot of getting in and out of in one day.

2. Would prefer a binding with a comfortable highback, and baseplate. I am ok with a highback with a lot of forward lean (the Cartel) if it can be adjusted and if there is some good cushioning.

Here are some bindings that I was already looking at and would like some feedback on from anyone who has used these:

-Burton Cartels
-K2 Autos
-Rome Arsonel, Targa, 390

Price and brand aren’t an issue.

Huge thanks to any and all who read through this and post some feedback!

I am designing a ski with the folks at Igneous in Jackson Hole. I have 3 choices for torsional stiffness. I understand that torsional stiffness allows for better edge hold. When and why would you want a bit more torsional twist in a ski? Perhaps less torsional stiffness results in a ski that smears better?

I am looking at a double wide GS ski 132/104/112, 185cm. Gonna mount ‘em tele.

I am having a problem with my alpine boots (Nordica Top Fuel). The boots let snow into the shell when I am skiing. I have put duct tape over the seams under the buckles and over the toe, but I still have 2-3 ounces of snow in mu boot by noon. If I don’t remove my liners when I go inside and dump out the snow, the snow melts and I get wet liners and feet.

Has anyone had this problem and been able to solve it?

I was recently at the fall tech training at mt. hood. On of the guys in my group had a small sd memory camcorder. In talking with him he highlighted to potential to using video to teach and give our students more value in the lessons we can give.

My question is, what kind of cameras are being used by you guys?

In looking in a few shops I’ve become somewhat fond of the Canon FS20 or FS200. It is small, compact, good shape, and priced in with everything that is on the shelf.

Any other pointers from those who have exerience would be great too.

OH yeah, I’m running on a PC system right now. So video editting program recommendations would be cool. Recommendations for MAC would be good for the sake of the forum too.
