Okay So I am looking for help in teaching my boyfriend how to snowboard. Last year he was hit by a car while on his street bike. His left hip, knee, and ankle were all shattered and have undergone a lot of surgery. His ankle is now completely inflexible (as are his toes)—we can’t even get him into standard snowboard boots.
In order to insure he has a positive snowboarding experience I have two main concerns—finding special equipment for him (boots in particular) and what techniques would be most beneficial to teaching him with minimum pain/ risk of re-injury. If anyone has advice for me or can point me in the direction of a good starting-off point I would be most obliged!
