Hey all, goin for a big upgrade to my gear for the upcoming season and lookin for some all mountain bindings to go with a rossignol 1mag board, and salomon boots.

As far as the boots go, from what I read I am between the F22s and the Malamutes. Just waiting to actually try them on first before I commit.

I live in Montana and here’s my style of riding:

I ride bumps/moguls a lot, some powder runs, and either tuckin down groomers or going down a groomer with a lot of quick edge to edge carving. I do a little freestyle/park but really prefer a binding that will be more tailored towards all mountain.

I don’t want any bindings to be excluded from being mentioned because of these considerations below, just would to know why a certain binding would not be good because of these factors.

1.  An entry/release system that is very quick while also being durable enough to withstand a lot of getting in and out of in one day.

2.  Would prefer a binding with a comfortable highback, and baseplate.  I am ok with a highback with a lot of forward lean (the Cartel) if it can be adjusted and if there is some good cushioning.

Here are some bindings that I was already looking at and would like some feedback on from anyone who has used these:

-Burton Cartels
-K2 Autos
-Rome Arsonel, Targa, 390

Price and brand aren’t an issue.

Huge thanks to any and all who read through this and post some feedback!

Rossignol Cuda.  I ride them on my Rossignol One Magtek and find them to be very versatile and VERY comfortable.  Also, they match the board, which shouldn’t over ride performance when it comes to choosing, but it’s icing on the cake when you get both style and performance!

Hard to go wrong with the Cartels.  I rode the 2011 Cartels for the majority of this past season and never had pain or performance issues.  They held up great and still look like they are almost brand new, even after a full season of hard riding and travel.
Admittedly, I’m about as biased as KC is but we both back gear we know works for us and are confident will work for others.  That said, Burton bindings are the #1 choice for pros and consumers for a reason…

Hey Bram,

I’ve got a pair of last year’s Burton CO2’s, medium/black that are listed on craigs list.  They will provide more support/response than the Cartels and will prolly match your riding style better.  I use cartels for my freestyle set up and these were on my all-mountain board.  They’re in great shape as I mostly rode on the freestyle rig last year.  Let me know if you are interested ( ) and I can send pics/price/etc.

Not to echo Shaun, but I’m pretty pleased year to year with boot/binding set ups I get from Burton.

Thanks to all for your input.  I had to go with KC, and got the Cuda v1 bindings due to proform and compatability.

Now just it’s just time to look at my new setup while I do the snowdance of 2010/2011!
