Kids Can Snowboard

Did you know that kids as young as three can learn to snowboard?

It’s true and this means that this winter, you, your kids, and your whole family can snowboard together!

Advances in education lessons, equipment and terrain (such as Burton Riglet parks) over the past 20 years now make it easier than ever for your littles to learn to snowboard first.

The American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) and Burton Snowboards are working to help spread the word this season.

To help spread the reach of this messaging, PSIA-AASI held a social media contest this winter to encourage people to share photos of their kids learning or practicing snowboarding or a throwback photo of themselves learning or riding as a child.  Two winners – Abbie Gamble and Drew Nicholson – were selected at random, with Abbie winning a lesson for her daughter, June, at a Burton Riglet Park and Drew receiving a Burton After School Special snowboard setup and Kids’ Burton Mini Grom snowboard boots for his daughter, Kinley. See the winning photo entries below, and check out #kidscansnowboard – and the Spring 2018 issue of 32 Degrees – to get a peek at more entries!

Be sure to share the accompanying consumer-oriented video on your social channels and tag people you know who’d be keen to get their kids on a snowboard.

Congrats to the "Kids Can Snowboard" Contest Winners
