A-Basin, Snowbird, Squaw Shred Through the 4th of July
Thousands of skiers and snowboarders in California, Colorado, and Utah took advantage of epic snow conditions to hit the slopes at Squaw Valley, Arapahoe Basin, and Squaw Valley this Independence Day. All three areas reported packed parking lots, busy liftlines, soft snow, and blue skies as they finished the 2018-2019 season on the 4th of July. Meanwhile, Timberline (Oregon) will be open all summer, and Mammoth Mountain (California) plans to operate into August.

Colorado City Announces Plans for Year-Round Ski Area
The town of Castle Rock, Colorado, located 30 minutes south of Denver, announced plans for a year-round ski area that will use Snowflex polymer to allow skiers and snowboarders to slide downhill, even in July! 

Highlights include: 107,000 square foot Snowflex skiing surface, a cornice drop at the top of the slope, 3 jumps, a mogul field, an intermediate area, and a bunny slope.
