Course Description:
Participation in Flatwater session or previous experience necessary.
Once you have learned the basic skills, it's time to experience the river! You will learn about hydrology, river features, and how to safely navigate downstream in your SUP through Class 1 and 2 rapids.
Come spend a day on the water and sharpen those balance skills in the off-season! Stand up paddle-boarding and whitewater kayaking are two great crossover sports to fill your summer months and remember what it's like to be a student learning a new sport again. We will not only learn a new sport, but compare and contrast it to our snowsports that we love so much! We will take a look and identify how these water sports relate to the technical fundamentals and also incorporate the people skills component.
