NIM People Skills Clinic

Description: In this clinic, participants will explore the people skills fundamentals and how to better engage their peers, students, and the learning environment. Prepare to present in front of the group and leave with constructive feedback on your soft skills.

People Skills Clinic, Full Day, On-Snow. Qualifies as Continuing Education. Open to all certification level and disciplines.

Terrain: Participants should be prepared to ski in blue ungroomed terrain and blue to black groomed terrain, as the group/clinic topic requires.

Continuing Education Goal: Impact overall performance through improved understanding and application of the people skills fundamentals.

Clinic Outcomes: By the end of this clinic, participants will:

· Receive feedback on personal performance related to their People Skills.

· Integrate new and/or enhanced people skills into their teaching and interactions.

· hHave new resources that support independent practice.

Clinic Experiences:

· The clinic leader and participants will collaborate to determine a relevant goal related to people skills-based outcomes.

· The clinic leader will demonstrate how to apply specific aspects of the people skills fundamentals to real-life scenarios.

· Participants will practice providing student-centered learning experiences.

· The clinic leader and participants will collaborate to identify specific areas of improvement and establish methods to achieve more ideal learning experience outcomes.

· The clinic leader will facilitate reflection about the day's goal and other relevant experiences.
