Course Description:
Attending National Academy will help you:
- Get your ski on for five days of big-mountain skiing with a member or alumni of the PSIA-AASI National Team.
- Get the inside track on innovations shaping the future of instruction.
- Network with, and learn new ways of teaching from, fellow ski professionals who share your passion for the ski experience.
- Take your game up a notch with personalized coaching and improvement.
Big Sky is one of the most challenging resorts in North America, and an expert trail here may be significantly steeper and longer than one at your home resort. The mountain has something to offer all abilities from long, beautifully groomed cruising terrain to rowdy, extreme terrain. Along with these trail difficulties, you may also encounter more challenging snow conditions, higher altitudes, and extreme weather conditions. When selecting your grouping during registration, please consider these variables and honestly assess your capabilities to limit injury risk. We want all attendees to have a safe, fun week! Your clinic leader will assess your goals at the event to ensure the group is a good fit. You will have the option to move groups if necessary. In-door and on snow elective opportunities allow you to take a break and/or branch out and mingle with others on different educational topics.
National Academy is an alpine-specific event. If you would like to attend the 5-day academy for snowboard, telemark, or adaptive disciplines, please register for either Rider Rally, Telemark Academy, or Adaptive Academy and choose the 5-day option.
