Part-Time Instructors Needed – 5 Fun Filled Saturdays

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Blue Angel’s Ski & Snowboard is looking for some help getting kids outdoors and on the slopes! Our mission is to provide positive snow-riding experiences for youth that will enhance their personal and social growth. Blue Angel Snow fosters this development through five consecutive Saturday ski and snowboard camps for kids, teaching fundamental skills to all levels in a fun, supportive, and non-competitive environment. Blue Angel Instructors will help us achieve this goal by providing just the right balance of teaching and having fun, while always maintaining an emphasis on safety.

Part-Time Instructors Needed – 5 Fun Filled Saturdays! 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Blue Angel instructors mentor students and serve as positive role models on and off the slopes.
• Blue Angel instructors uphold the highest levels of safety.
• Instructors always clearly and patiently communicate, as well as demonstrate appropriate level-specific skills to students.
• Instructors help ensure that students are matched with appropriate skill level groups and work with supervisors to make appropriate changes when necessary.
• Instructors teach and assist program participants with loading and unloading the chairlift.
• Blue Angel instructors happily assist with operational responsibilities, including helping participants with clothing & equipment and cleanliness in the lunch and snack areas.
• Most importantly, instructors ensure the safe return of all children in their class to their assigned busses at the end of the day!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Love working with children and teens!
• Passion for skiing/riding!
• Exceptional ability to relate to young skiers/riders and deliver positive on-snow experiences.
• Demonstrate intermediate to advanced ski/ride skills.
• At least 18 years of age or older and out of high school.
• Pass a criminal background check and complete Abuse Prevention Course and Concussion Training.

Applicants must attend all 5 Saturdays: January 25, February 1, 8 & 22, March 1 

• PSIA/AASI Certification – encouraged (training and certification clinics available)
• PSIA-AASI Children’s Specialist 1 – a bonus!

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING:

We will teach you to teach!!  PSIA-AASI training included.

PSIA-AASI Membership is not required but highly encouraged (you get great Pro Offers on equipment and many other benefits)!
