Status: Part Time Winter Employment

Availability:

• December through March 5/6^th, 2023
• Saturday & Sunday | 9:00am to 3:00pm
• Location: Pine Knob/Clarkston, MI and Mt. Holly/Holly, MI

Overview
Teach children how to ski and sharing your passion for snow sports in a fun and safe environment. You must have a love for the sport and love teaching children.

Responsibilities

• Focused on student-centered learning.  Must be patient, outgoing, create an environment that is safe, fun, and positive.
• Reliable and timely
• Physical:  Working with children so you may have to assist them getting up and getting on and off the chairlift.
• Understand and demonstrate technical skills and be able to explain concepts in a safe and professional manner based on age and ability. Familiarity with PSIA guidelines, concepts, and teaching methods.
• Summarize lesson with child(ren) and parents at the end of the lesson.  Review skills practiced along with progressions the child needs to work on for the next level.
• Supervised instruction throughout the day with your class including warm-up and lunch breaks (you are paid for breaks).

Qualifications

• PSIA Certification is preferred but not required
• Experienced skier
