Ski & Ride School Supervisor

Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado’s northern Front Range. Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver.

Previous experience in leadership roles and customer service preferred.

  • Focus on quality of our lessons, guests and employee relations, staff performance, communication, teamwork and administrative duties.
  • This position will supervise operations of lessons, indoor and outdoor facilities/teaching areas and will assist with lesson assignments as well as continuing to foster our culture of a learning community.
  • Must love working with people and can communicate effectively with adults to build trust and respect.
  • Have a desire to learn and develop personal skills by attending our free, ongoing ski & snowboard training.

  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset and encourages staff to build their brand through Eldora’s client base and SRS products.
  • Must be able to access daily schedules and company notices electronically.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience working in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working in a Ski and Ride School.
  • Current PSIA-AASI Level 1 certification or equivalent.
  • Point of sale and software system exposure, ideally with Siruisware, Flaik, ADP, and/or Microsoft Office
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and guest service skills
  • Ability to ski and ride well, but we are looking for a ‘people person’ who has the desire to develop their personal skiing and/or riding skills.
  • -Able to work long and irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Is a champion of Play Forever, Powdr’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment and support our community in Eldora’s everyday operations.
  • Minimum age 18

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Current PSIA-AASI certification/s

Administration Duties: 

  • Scheduling SRS instructors
  • Assigning classes and/or assigning Junior responsibilities
  • Email/Phone correspondence with staff and guests
  • Approving timekeeping
  • Attend regular training

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Proposed hiring rate of $21+/hour (non-certified), $21-25/hour (PSIA-AASI certified), actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and certification level.
  • This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts.  Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
