 Ski School Director 

 POSITION: 

As the Ski School Director, you will play a pivotal role in management and overseeing all aspects of our ski school operations during the winter season, as well as coordinating and developing our summer outdoor activities program. You will be responsible for creating a sage, engaging, and enriching learning environment for our guests while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and safety. 

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Outdoor Education, Sports Management, or related field/work experience. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ski school management or outdoor activity program coordination. 
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. 
  • Strong understanding of skiing and snowboarding techniques, teaching methods, and safety procedures. 
  • Knowledge of outdoor adventure activities and their associated safety requirements. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. 
  • Proficiency in organizing and executing large-scale events and programs. 
  • Certification from a recognized skiing or snowboarding instructor association (e.g., PSIA/AASI Level 2 or equivalent or higher) required. 
  • Acquire and Maintain First Aid and CPR certification. 
  • Experience with RTP and Flaik or similar resort software systems. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Winter) 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive skiing and snowboarding programs that cater to beginners, intermediates, and advanced participants. 
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise a team of qualified ski and snowboard instructors, ensuring their adherence to safety protocols and teaching standards. 
  • Collaborate with the operations team to maintain ski equipment and facilities in excellent condition. 
  • Monitor and ensure the safety of all participants n the slopes and enforce proper safety practices. 
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages skill development, confidence, and enjoyment for all guests. 
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback to ensure exceptional customer service. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Summer) 

  • Coordinate and oversee the development of a diverse range of summer outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, adventure park, and more. 
  • Collaborate with activity leaders and instructors to design engaging programs suitable for various age groups and skill levels. 
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of experienced outdoor activity guides and instructors. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols for all summer activities. 
  • Maintain and update necessary equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests. 
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote summer activities and attract participants.
