Bristol Mountain is currently seeking a Snowsports School Director who is energetic and detail oriented. The primary responsibilities include managing the Bristol Mountain Snowsports School which encompasses the Ski and Ride School, The Children’s Learning Center, Terrain Park Crew, Freestyle and Alpine Racing.

Position
Snowsports School Director
Full-Time, Seasonal
Approximately mid-October to mid-April or as business demands

Responsibilities Include

  • Staff Management:
    • Hire, train, motivate, evaluate, and direct staff to obtain objectives
    • Delegate roles and responsibilities within the department while achieving goals
    • Oversee an administrative position which assists Director with scheduling, payroll processing, and guest inquiries
    • Maintain schedules in compliance with state and federal regulations and resort policies
    • Assist with special events as needed
  • Payroll:
    • Oversees staff onboarding and weekly payroll processing
  • Administrative:
    • Oversee the Snowsports School which includes The Children’s Learning Center, Terrain Park Crew, Freestyle and Alpine Racing
    • Maintains accurate records, budgeting, and department paperwork in accordance to policies
    • Work with the Group Sales coordinator to ensure the success of group visits
    • Familiarity with state and federal standards and OSHA regulations
  • Safety:
    • Promote a positive and safe environment for staff and guests
    • Promote safe skiing and snowboarding by educating staff and public on the “Responsibility Code” and common-sense rules of skiing/snowboarding
    • Operate all equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others
  • Guest Service:
    • Consistently deliver superior guest service and sustain a guest focused culture with all programs ensuring customer satisfaction
    • Engage with guests to ensure an exciting experience and lifelong memories
    • Communicate with guests on resort operations, policies, procedures and products
    • Resolve inquiries/issues in a timely and professional manner
    • Take part in responsibility for cleanliness of the resort and safety of the guests and employees and maintain a positive and friendly demeanor in all interactions
    • Other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older and prior work experience
  • Passionate about the outdoors and Snowsports
  • Prior experience as a supervisor/manager in a PSIA-AASI Member School
  • Full PSIA or AASI Certification desired
  • Professional individual with superior organizational skills
  • Ability to remain focused and organized in a busy environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to tolerate all weather scenarios and be outdoors for long periods of time
  • Ability to relate to staff and guests
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail
  • Must have weekend availability and flexible weekday availability

Hours

  • Hours of employment are dependent on business demands
  • Schedule is 6 days per week during the operating season
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Rate of Pay

  • Salary $1,200 to $1,500 per week
