It is my honor to represent PSIA-AASI members at the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Vail this Saturday to see Horst Abraham formally honored as a pioneer in the history of ski instruction.
Abraham, who in 1971 was asked to fill the position of director of training and development of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, was instrumental in developing the skills concept that remains PSIA-AASI’s instructional cornerstone.

Retailer Profile: New Hampshire’s Stan & Dan Sports

Feedback was overwhelming, so here’s the third installment in a series in which we profile the men and women behind your top U.S. shops.
The philosophy of New Hampshire’s Stan & Dan Sports might be “Learn from the best and don’t rest on your laurels.” Owners Stan Millen and Dan Lewis cut their teeth in the business 40 years ago at the iconic Carroll Reed Ski Shop in North Conway.
