What inspired you to become an instructor? Passion, inspiration, and friends.
What keeps you coming back to teach every year? I have taken an alumni status after teaching full-time since 1982. I'm a past PSIA-E Development Team member and Divisional Team member and served a term on the education committee. I was a corporate trainer for Perfect Turn and Technical Director for Loon Ski & Snowboard School all for the absolute pleasure of it!
What stands out about your teaching? People know they can trust me to give them the tools they need to enjoy the mountain and lifestyle.
What's one accessory, tool, or education resource you keep in your pocket? Duct tape
Is there an "insider tip" you'd share with new members? Anyone can get out on the hill, on any toy, at any age, and enjoy our fun, supportive, and welcoming culture.
Describe a teaching or learning experience that sticks out in your mind. Understanding that it is the same movement we use anywhere, on any terrain, in any condition. All we need to do is adjust the tempo, shape, tilt, and touch.
Where can we find you in the summers? And doing what? Running, hiking, swimming, and performing on stage – but now all at the same time!
Anything else we missed? You can find me on any mountain anytime!
