Describe a teaching or learning experience that sticks out in your mind.
Having fun, connecting with people, and making skiing progress always leads to memorable experiences. Once in Juneau, Alaska, I was facilitating a clinic on skate skiing uphill efficiently with a group of skiers with different ability levels. Just as we were getting started, it started dumping snow. As we explored drills and exercises for skiing uphill the group was very interactive, started learning from each other and having breakthroughs. The skiing was challenging because of all the new snow and the powder runs downhill were super fun. The group just kept doing laps, learning, exploring, and having fun with each other. As the sun started getting lower, we skied in all together, exhausted but so fulfilled from this fun learning afternoon.
