Educational Webinar Series Starts Today – Register Now!
February marks the kickoff of the PSIA-AASI Educational Webinar Series with Alpine Assistant and Development Coach Matt Boyd. The webinar series starts today, February 2 with Progressions and Fundamentals for More Effective Teaching from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. MST.
This session will explore the concept of building progressions through the lens of teaching fundamentals to enhance instructor’s decisions and behaviors. Upon completion of this webinar participants will have a firm understanding on the teaching fundamentals and be able to apply them to building effective progressions.
The Future of Teaching

PSIA Alpine Team member Stephen Helfenbein will explore the American culture of snowsports instruction and teach you how to create balanced lessons using the Learning Connection model, using outcome-based learning approaches, presecriptive vs. adaptive approaches, and external cues. Discussions will center around what you like to teach, how you like to teach it and why your approach may be ready for a change.
Cross Country Fundamentals & Skill Development
The Cross Country Fundamentals & Skill Development webinar is taking place Feb. 24 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. MST. The PSIA Cross Country Team explains how you can use the cross country fundamentals to enhance your student’s learning experience, and how the updated cross country standards help qualify and measure successful instructors.
