Course Description:

*THIS COURSE IS REQUIRED if you are not affiliated with a ski & snowboard school or have not gone through a new hire training clinic at a Snowsports School.

If you are not affiliated with a member school, you will need to provide a lift ticket for this course and for the assessment.

Looking to start a career as a ski instructor but haven't started working for a school yet? Or are you already an instructor but want to get better at teaching novice skiers while training for your L1? This course is designed to prepare instructors for the Level 1 Assessment. Spend 2 days on-snow exploring aspects of teaching, movement analysis, and skiing demonstrations for the beginner zone. This entry-level course is based on the National Level 1 Certification Standard and the Intermountain Assessment format. It will boost your skills and resume when looking to land that first industry job.
