Course Description:

This is a one-day validation of skiing, teaching and technical understanding for levels 1-6 as applied to adaptive alpine students. Candidates are evaluated on the Adaptive Alpine Certification Level 2 Application Maneuvers and Fundamental Skiing Maneuvers used in teaching adaptive lessons. They are also assessed on their knowledge of skiing and teaching concepts and terminology, as well as their ability to perform movement analysis of a stand up skier.


Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Adaptive Functional Skiing Assessment, candidates may take module assessments in Bi-Ski & Mono Ski; Cognitive and Visually Impaired; or 3-Track, 4-Track & Slider. Notes: Candidates must have passed Adaptive Level 1 Functional Skiing prior to June 2022 to qualify for attendance at Adaptive Alpine Level 2 Functional Skiing. This process is valid through the 2023-2024 adaptive events calendar season.
