Course Description:

Cross country skiing hasn't changed that much, but how we train and certify instructors having an evolutionary moment. The three areas of certification (Technical (Ski+MA), Teaching, and People Skills) have all matured over the last three years, as national task forces dedicated to each keep refining and improving upon instructor skills for each level of certification.



Learning Outcomes for What's New in XC/Update

Participants will:

  • Understand where to access the latest information about Learning Outcomes and Assessment Criteria in Performance Guides
  • Get exposure to and practice with the XC Technical Model, the Teaching Learning Outcomes and the People Skills at Levels 1, 2, and 3
  • Be able to self-assess regarding each skill area, and be able to develop goals in each area
