Course Description:
Interested in growing as an instructor -- building long term clientele by better understanding, interpreting, and meeting the needs of your guests? Join former PSIA-AASI Nordic Team Coach Scotty McGee for this informative, interactive introduction to the Learning Connection: Integration People Skills, Technical Skills, and Teaching Skills. This multi-disciplinary two-hour web meeting involves an hour and a half of presentation along with moderated Q & A.
Members in any discipline are welcome and encouraged to attend.
People Skills: an empathetic approach to building relationships based on trust and respect - Culture.
Technical Skills: a clearly defined set of fundamental mechanics that can be adapted and applied to any ability level, situation, application, or outcome - Core.
Teaching Skills: a method of developing content and adapting delivery based upon the physical, mental, and social needs and desires of each student - Connection.

- Participants will come away with an understanding of how People, Teaching and Technical skills support each other, and how to integrate them in day-to-day teaching as well as in assessment formats
