Course Description:

Course Name: Movement Analysis 101
Discipline: Alpine
Time: 2 Days (12 credits)

Terrain: Beginner - Groomed Advanced Terrain.

MA 101 is for Level I and Level II certified instructors that wish to improve their teaching and coaching, particularly those that may be seeking success at a LII Teaching Assessment. Content will focus on understanding and analyzing skiing movements as described in the PSIA Skiing Fundamentals. Once such determinations of and by the group have been made, then participants will examine activities and skill building exercises to address the areas of need.


Prerequisites: Current PSIA-AASI Membership, Level 1 Certification

Suggested Preparation

· A working knowledge of the Skiing Fundamentals.

· A basic understanding of the Technical & Teaching Skills Fundamentals.

· A fitness level that allows for up to six hours of skiing on two consecutive days.
