Course Description:

Level 2 and 3 certification is intended for upper-level instructors who have been teaching Telemark for several seasons, have Level 1/2 Telemark certification. A Level 2 instructor is certified to teach intermediate Telemark lessons, while a Level 3 instructor is certified to teach all levels of Telemark lessons. This includes a written test, workbook, skiing, teaching scenarios and discussions. The Level 2 and Level 3 Telemark exams are offered together as one exam. Your intended certification level must be decided at the beginning of the exam. These exams may be offered every other year if demand is low.


All candidates must complete the required online test with a score of at least 80% a minimum of 48 hours before the exam.


Exceptions to the prerequisites may be granted by the Nordic Chair () by petition for qualified individuals with a telemark race or coaching background only. These candidates are required to send their petition and resume to the Nordic Chair.
