Ski & Ride School Director

Summary

Responsible for the delivery of quality ski and snowboard lesson experiences for guests and Loveland employees. Direct and oversee all aspects of Ski & Ride School business and operations, maximizing sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement. Oversee SRS operations at both Loveland Basin and Loveland Valley. Create and lead new and original programming to continue to enhance the learning experience. Communicate and interact with all other departments to achieve integrated operations and company/department goals. Provide strong leadership within the SRS, within Loveland as a whole, and within the local communities. Maintain a positive and productive work environment for all department employees. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure workplace safety through proper training and policy/procedure adherence. Create and foster an environment where safety is a priority, and all team members are comfortable and willing to raise questions and concerns related to
  • Oversee preseason/ongoing hiring and scheduling of staff to sufficiently and consistently match business demand and financial
  • Manage all aspects of the SRS team member experience including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, appreciation/recognition and offboarding of team members Assure accurate and timely reporting of company payroll processes, as well as Worker Comp reporting and
  • Oversee and guide the instructor training / certification programs to assure adherence to the American Teaching System guidelines as presented by PSIA-RM-AASI. Represent Loveland with this
  • Provide and monitor ongoing feedback and coaching systems to assure positive/productive performance of SRS management and instructor staff. Develop and maintain an environment ofconstant evaluation and improvement of staff, operations, and guest expectations. Communicate company and department direction and goals to all levels of SRS.
  • Determine and execute planning and operation of SRS pricing and programing to maximize market trends and expectations. Work with sales department to determine and adjust ongoing SRS sales capacities to maximize department performance. Monitor revenue and labor budgets to achieve company and department
  • Organize and monitor SRS job responsibilities and their execution by SRS management/instructor staff. Oversee the maintenance, cleanness, organization, and operation of all indoor and outdoor SRS

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum PSIA-AASI Level 3 Certification
  • Post High School education with degree in Business or related area of study, and/or equivalent
  • Ski & Ride School management experience, with a minimum 3 seasons Ski & Ride School supervisory
  • Post High School education with degree in Business or related area of study, and/or equivalent
  • Ability to lead a team toward set goals, motivate individual performance, and hold team members accountable to ensure team
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-direct to set and achieve
  • Strong communication and time management skills with independent decision-making
  • Ability to react and positively adjust to changing market conditions in all aspects of business and staff
  • Ability to plan, organize work and execute on the plan
  • Ability to handle fast paces, potentially high-pressure work environment with varying people
  • Ability to balance and manage competing priorities, scheduling and motivating a team to accomplish all
  • Ability to successfully use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale software, Siriusware/RTP
  • Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English to deliver and understand verbal and written
  • Ability to work at high altitude, indoors and outdoors (in base are and on the mountain), and in extreme weather
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays during the Winter
